Two short pieces for full orchestra that
were developed from material originally used
in small ensemble pieces.  These are light
and quirky in feel, and will eventually be
developed into a suite.

This is a quirky romp that reflects the
behaviour of Emma, pictured left (the
black one) on her walk around a wild
lake.  The music represents among other
things Emma flushing some wildfowl and
studiously ignoring the enthusiastic barking
of a much larger dog.  The erratic melodies
and chord movements are suggestive of
20th Century Russian music.

The first movement of Quentin’s
second Symphony is firmly rooted n
the late Romantic style.  Further
movements will be presented
here as they are completed.
