Quentin has been gigging on the trumpet in the Midlands and Home Counties for 25 years. He has been involved in just about every genre of music - classical, jazz, fusion, rock, soul, etc. He is currently involved with a well established covers band, The Passengers and a fine soul band, Aerosoul. He regularly deps for a number of other bands. This wide range of musical influences and experience is reflected in the breadth and variety of his compositions. The music presented on this web site is just a small selection from Quentin’s overall output to date.
Quentin has a well established association with The Millhouse Quartet in Hemel-Hempstead and
they have adopted “Licorice Stick Rag” as their signature Theme. Quentin is composing more
music for this ensemble at present. Millhouse Quartet’s Suzannah Hart gave the first
performance of “Tango” in November 2007 and the recording from this recital has now been
added to this site.
In 2006 Quentin became a member of the Northamptonshire Composers Association. Through
the NCA some of his early string music was performed by a professional ensemble in their
November concert. “Fait Accompli” was programmed in their September 2007 concert.
